A test IO Case Study
BuzzFeed, a New York-based digital media company, needed more dependable test coverage as its mobile apps grew more complex across devices, operating systems, and browsers. The QA team was balancing in-house testing with offshore contractors, but full regression testing was taking too long and wasn’t covering enough of the device matrix. BuzzFeed turned to test IO for functional and content/visual testing on its BuzzFeed and Tasty mobile apps.
With test IO, BuzzFeed was able to run regression coverage much faster and with far greater breadth, getting results in about 24 hours instead of 72 and with 10x more eyes on each release. test IO covered up to 75% of the team’s full regression suite, helped surface bugs faster, and reduced the need for internal teams to inspect recipes and other detailed content manually. According to BuzzFeed, test IO’s on-demand device coverage and global tester network saved hours of effort and let the team focus on more business-critical testing.
