A TeselaGen Case Study
MicroByre, a Berkeley-based biotech focused on domesticating non-model prokaryotes for industrial fermentation, needed a personalized LIMS-like solution to support large-scale data collection, legacy-data import, interdisciplinary workflows, remote collaboration, and fewer biological design errors. They partnered with TeselaGen and adopted TeselaGen’s AI-powered Operating System for Biotechnology as an intuitive platform to store sequence and strain data, standardize workflows, and manage biological designs.
TeselaGen implemented its end-to-end design and data-management tools—enabling sequence import, plasmid design, visualization, and team collaboration—and delivered measurable impact: 100% of MicroByre’s sequences were imported from legacy systems, 100% of plasmids are now designed on TeselaGen, and the entire team prefers TeselaGen to alternatives. The platform reduced design errors, cut DNA and re-cloning costs, sped troubleshooting and R&D, and improved team morale.
