Arzeda, a computational protein‑design company that builds novel enzymes and pathways, faced a bottleneck in plasmid construction: the process was slow, error‑prone and resource‑intensive. To accelerate DNA assembly without building a custom system, Arzeda adopted TeselaGen’s cloud‑based DESIGN and BUILD software to design assemblies, order fragments and automate laboratory workflows.

TeselaGen’s platform automatically planned assemblies, placed orders to Twist and generated Echo Liquid Handler worklists to miniaturize and automate reactions, cutting errors, consumable use and turnaround time. The integrated solution let Arzeda scale DNA construction roughly 10x (with expectations of up to 100x efficiency gains), reduced sequencing and costs, produced worklists in about five minutes and was deployed in roughly two weeks. TeselaGen’s software was the critical glue enabling these measurable improvements.
