JIT Laser, an 84-employee laser cutting shop based in Saint-Louis-de-Blandford, Québec, was already familiar with gemba walks and continuous improvement, but struggled to manage improvement opportunities efficiently. Before Tervene, the team used OneNote, which made it difficult to compile results, filter opportunities, and identify the most important issues to act on.

Tervene implemented its continuous improvement software to make gemba walks easier to run, track, and analyze, even offline on iPad. Since adopting Tervene in 2016, JIT Laser has completed over 1,500 gemba walks and proactively identified more than 2,400 production issues, while improving communication, follow-up on action plans, and visibility into company challenges.
