Recognition Reinforces Organizational Core Values

Freedom Financial Network, a family of companies providing consumer debt-relief and lending solutions, needed a scalable way to recognize and retain a growing workforce (more than 2,200 employees) and better connect employees to its four core values while replacing manual gift-card processes. To address engagement and retention—especially among a largely millennial call-center population—Freedom Financial Network partnered with Terryberry and adopted Terryberry’s 360 Recognition Platform, using the Give a WOW, AwardPoints, and Service Awards modules.

Terryberry implemented the branded Freedom Star Recognition Program (launched July 2013), providing real-time feeds across lobbies and electronic points redemption to replace physical gift cards. The program drove measurable engagement: 106,156 recognition moments to date, manager participation rising from 74% to 79% by year five, steady 77% employee participation, and recognition moments growing from 4,907 in year 1 to 19,558 in year 5—while reducing administration time and helping improve employee retention.
