Access Bank, a leading Pan-African financial institution, faced significant information gaps in its customer data. The bank needed to better understand its customers' behavior beyond its own transactions to improve cross-selling and upselling while also complying with a regulatory injunction to update KYC details. To address this challenge, they partnered with vendor Terragon and utilized its Enterprise CDP platform.

The solution from Terragon involved a four-step process of uploading, enriching, and activating dormant customer first-party data. This was achieved by enriching customer profiles with third-party data, including Telco sources, to gain aggregated insights. The implementation was highly successful, resulting in an 80% match rate on all customer profiles shared by Access Bank for enrichment. Terragon's solution enabled the bank to activate these new insights to drive traffic to specific branches and promote mobile banking solutions based on customer location and device type.
