Surrey City Council - Customer Case Study

Surrey City Council launched a three-year smart city plan to replace or retrofit about 89,000 streetlamps with energy-efficient LEDs. The council needed a scalable way to manage the rollout and future lighting needs, and used TerraGo StreetlightOps software as part of the deployment.

TerraGo worked with Urban Control and Skanska to automate commissioning of networked lighting controllers to an upgraded CMS. The project is expected to cut carbon emissions by about 7,700 tons per year and deliver around 60% energy savings, while also giving Surrey City Council better data for safety, maintenance, and broader city management uses.
