The firm needed a way to leverage its existing GIS investments, enable collaboration, and deliver actionable maps and data to a wider audience without requiring complex software.

To solve this, CGG adopted TerraGo Publisher and TerraGo Toolbar to produce interactive GeoPDFs—lightweight “GIS‑Lite” files with layer control, measurements and markups that open in free Adobe Reader. Since 2007 CGG has delivered more than 3,000 GeoPDFs across 67 countries to 100+ oil and gas clients, improving GIS accessibility, preserving geospatial archives and maximizing ROI on its GIS investments.
