Peralta Community College District, which educates more than 30,000 students a year across four campuses in Berkeley, Alameda, and Oakland, needed a better way to manage international student services. Its international education team was spending hours manually registering hundreds of students each semester, and paper applications, repeated data entry, and filing cabinets made the process slow and difficult to manage. Peralta Community College District turned to Terra Dotta’s International Student & Scholar Services solution.

With Terra Dotta, Peralta Community College District was able to create and update SEVIS records in batch, keep applications complete, and make student information easier to access and cross-check. After the first semester with Terra Dotta, the office went paperless, and the district also opened a second international education office at its Berkeley campus. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Terra Dotta helped Peralta track students and email all active students; more than 100 students joined the Zoom meeting that followed.
