Merrill Corporation, a global M&A due diligence SaaS provider, needed to deliver a fast, reliable user experience for customers in China, where network congestion and the Great Firewall caused DataSite document loads to take minutes instead of seconds. The company also had to meet strict requirements around security, data sovereignty, scalability for more than 100 concurrent users, fast implementation, and cost efficiency.

Teridion implemented its Internet overlay network to optimize Merrill’s public cloud traffic and route around Internet backbone congestion. The result was at least a 75% reduction in latency, with average China latency dropping to under 100 milliseconds and load times falling from minutes to seconds. Teridion also preserved security and data sovereignty, supported full simultaneous user scale, and was deployed in just one day, helping Merrill improve both top-line growth and bottom-line costs.
