Because Internet backbone routing and TCP congestion were hurting upload and download speeds, Egnyte also lacked visibility into middle-mile and last-mile performance problems, making customer troubleshooting difficult. Teridion helped address these challenges with its Internet overlay network.

Egnyte implemented Teridion’s Internet overlay network to accelerate global file transfers without compromising security or requiring a heavy buildout of regional PoPs. With Teridion, Egnyte matched or exceeded the performance of its own network PoP environment, reduced customer setup time from several man-hours to five minutes per customer, eliminated PoP maintenance costs, and cut support ticket resolution time by 50%. Teridion also gave Egnyte better diagnostic visibility and helped improve customer satisfaction worldwide.
