Seneca College, one of Canada’s largest comprehensive colleges, needed a better way to protect, manage, and access its coursework, student records, and research data as legacy IT systems reached their limits. With retention requirements of up to 75 years for some records, Seneca turned to TeraMach for a single, flexible backup and recovery solution, using Commvault’s Simpana software platform.

TeraMach recommended, designed, and implemented the Commvault solution to deliver policy-based data protection and retention with less complexity and greater confidence in data security. As a result, Seneca is now better equipped to handle future data growth from new applications and rising enrollment, while improving access to critical data and reducing risk across its environment.
