A Teradici Case Study
The Hurlingham Club, a historic private members’ club in Fulham set on 42 acres, needed to replace aging desktop hardware while supporting users across nine campus buildings without disrupting the site’s heritage. IT was tasked with finding an affordable, easy-to-deploy VDI solution that delivered PC-like performance (especially for video), simple setup for non-technical staff, and better manageability and security.
The club deployed Pivot3’s “VMware Horizon Suite in a Box” with Teradici PCoIP Tera2 zero clients, Teradici PCoIP Hardware Accelerators and Management Console, plus Unidesk layering. The rollout enabled non-technical users to install zero clients, doubled video frame rates to ~24–25 FPS with hardware acceleration, cut costs by 12–15% versus the initial server-and-SAN option, and reduced ongoing management overhead while improving remote visibility and security.
