A Teradata Case Study
Pannon GSM, a leading Hungarian mobile operator, and Allied Irish Bank, a major Irish bank, each struggled with large, fragmented customer, transaction and financial datasets that limited analytical CRM, slowed reporting and hindered tasks like churn and fraud detection, campaign targeting and detailed financial analysis.
Both organisations implemented a Teradata enterprise data warehouse to consolidate legacy systems and provide a single, scalable view of the business. Pannon used the EDW and data mining to predict and reduce churn, curb fraud and later added Teradata CRM to dramatically improve targeted campaign response; AIB migrated operational and historical data to Teradata, sped up heavy queries, enabled wider CRM use (including new customer-relationship manager roles) and achieved more effective campaigns and consistent financial reporting.
