Smart Recommendations for Small Businesses at Network Solutions

Network Solutions, a long-established provider of online services for small businesses (domain registration, hosting, SEO and related products), needed to modernize its Storefront to compete in a fast-changing market. Although it collected rich web and customer data, marketing relied on static pages and monthly reports rather than real‑time, personalized offers; the company’s challenge was to increase relevance, conversion propensity and revenue while improving the customer experience.

Network Solutions built an in‑house Recommendation Engine fed by nightly ETL into a Teradata data warehouse plus real‑time session inputs, producing a Storefront Recommendation Model, ODS and CMS that dynamically serve targeted ads and offers. Implemented via agile sprints and tracked with MicroStrategy dashboards, the solution increased click‑throughs and conversions, reduced manual analysis and call‑center handle/research time, and delivered flexible, rapidly deployable campaigns that became pervasive across the Storefront.
