Netflix, the leading OTT streaming service, built its business on highly personalized recommendations that drive the majority of viewing. Netflix partnered with Teradata to move its data warehouse to the Teradata Cloud and adopt a Unified Data Architecture with Hadoop integration and flexible analytics support. The cloud-based solution gave Netflix scalable, redundant analytics with less data movement and support for many analytical tools, enabling stronger personalization, higher viewer engagement (“eyeballs”) and informed content investments such as House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black.
