Isle of Capri Casinos is a regional gaming and hospitality operator with 15 properties in six states that puts customer experience at the center of its strategy. After an initial data‑warehouse effort was disrupted by Hurricane Katrina, the company struggled with slow, fragmented reporting (about five monthly reports per property) and limited segmentation, which made direct‑mail marketing and cross‑property analysis inefficient.
Isle deployed a Teradata enterprise data warehouse with Teradata Relationship Manager, IBM Cognos BI and improved ETL (OpenText/Attunity) to integrate casino, hotel and financial data and enable self‑service analytics. The change cut core monthly direct‑mail build time by 50%, grew reporting from ~5 monthly reports to about 150 daily/100 weekly/50 monthly reports, enabled near‑real‑time segmentation and campaign tracking, improved email data quality, supported hotel‑driven promotions and host alerts, and delivered faster, more targeted marketing and property comparisons.
