Isle of Capri Casinos is a growing regional gaming and hospitality company whose success hinges on understanding and anticipating customer needs. After an initial data warehouse effort was derailed, Isle faced the challenge of building a data and technology platform that could deliver timely customer insights across properties to improve marketing, service and operational decisions.

Isle implemented a Teradata enterprise data warehouse with IBM Cognos BI, centralizing disparate customer, hotel and financial data and enabling fast ad-hoc analysis. The result: dramatic acceleration of reporting (about 150 daily, 100 weekly, 50 monthly reports), halving the time to build core direct-mail campaigns, real-time targeted segmentation, improved host and loyalty programs from hotel-data integration, better property-to-property accountability, and groundwork to leverage slot-machine data for smarter floor management.
