A Teradata Case Study
VTB24, the retail bank of VTB Group, faced fragmented, department-specific analytical systems that produced inconsistent financials, duplicated effort and limited operational insight just as the bank sought to move from a product-oriented to a customer-centric model in a tough, competitive market. Establishing a unified Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) was therefore critical to create a single, reliable source of data for management reporting and to support faster, customer-focused decision-making.
Using Teradata as the core platform, VTB24 built an integrated EDW and CRM-supported analytics environment governed by a Centre of Business Analytics and cross‑departmental workgroups. The solution went enterprise-scale within nine months and delivered significant ROI within two years: today it powers consistent reporting and fact-based decisions (about 150 reports used by ~500 head‑office and ~10,000 regional users), smoothes data integration after corporate changes, and enables future initiatives like mobile analytics, KPI apps and datalabs while reducing costs.
