How Coffeeangel built their own BI reporting, but ultimately moved to Tenzo

Coffeeangel, a nine-location coffee business in Dublin, needed a better way to manage reporting as its tech stack expanded. Founder Karl Purdy had already built a bespoke BI reporting platform by pulling data from multiple systems, but the process was time-consuming, costly, and eventually broke when one of the connected systems was acquired, leaving him back to spreadsheets and manual reporting.

Coffeeangel chose Tenzo to centralize its reporting in a hospitality-focused, platform-agnostic solution that could adapt as systems changed. Tenzo replaced the manual compilation of PDFs, CSVs, and spreadsheets with easier-to-digest reporting and gave Karl peace of mind that future POS changes wouldn’t collapse the setup again, though the case study does not cite a specific quantitative improvement.
