Amalfi Semiconductor, a U.S. maker of high-performance RF semiconductors, was growing quickly overseas but had outgrown QuickBooks and struggled with inventory matching, process costing, international financial consolidation, slow closings, limited purchasing controls, and weak management reporting. To prepare for growth and possible public offering, it turned to Tensoft and Microsoft Dynamics GP.
Tensoft implemented Microsoft Dynamics GP in about six weeks, along with Tensoft’s Fabless Semiconductor Management software, giving Amalfi automated purchasing workflows, better visibility into inventory and financial data, and easier regulatory compliance. The company cut quarter-close reporting from a full week to a little more than an hour, reduced financial consolidation from a day to five minutes, and avoided more than $75,000 in vendor overbilling, while gaining stronger controls and reporting across the business.
