A Tenrox Case Study
Eaton Truck Division, a $2.52 billion unit of Eaton Corporation with about 6,000 employees across global manufacturing and service locations, needed a user-friendly, efficient way to manage time tracking, project work and workforce coordination after IT and staff restructuring. Existing processes relied on circulating spreadsheets and a complex new tool that created scattered files, poor cross-group communication and heavy maintenance and training burdens.
Eaton chose Tenrox for its project and time expertise; Tenrox’s out-of-the-box Time Tracking plus Workforce and Project Planning modules provided an intuitive, low‑maintenance platform that automated cross-charging, enabled internal billing for the Engineering Center of Excellence, centralized data and standardized processes. The implementation reduced manual work for IT and finance, simplified global training, improved resource allocation and forecasting, and delivered better reporting on availability and variance between forecasts and actuals.
