Willcox Savage, a full-service law firm with offices in Southeastern Virginia, was struggling with slow application performance across its WAN. Heavy use of Microsoft applications, especially Outlook and its document management system, led to sluggish logins, long file-access delays, and frustrated attorneys. Vendor Teneo helped the firm assess a WAN optimization approach using Riverbed’s SteelHead solution.

Teneo implemented Riverbed SteelHead WAN Optimization to speed up application performance and improve inter-office collaboration. After deployment, logins and file openings became much faster, user frustration dropped, and productivity improved significantly. Willcox Savage reported that the slowness problems were largely eliminated, and the IT team could focus on other priorities; the firm also indicated it would consider adding more Riverbed SteelHead appliances as it grows.
