Teneo supports Schneider Electric’s IT migration to cloud computing using Riverbed SteelHead for IaaS and SaaS

Schneider Electric, a global energy management company, was in the middle of a major IT transformation to the cloud and needed fast, reliable internet access for employees across 1,000 remote sites. Working with Teneo, the company sought to improve performance for emerging SaaS and IaaS applications while reducing dependence on legacy data centers and MPLS-only network quality of service.

Teneo implemented Riverbed SteelHead for IaaS and SteelHead for SaaS to accelerate cloud and internet application delivery, including support for Amazon Web Services Virtual Private Cloud. The results included about 75% reduction in optimized WAN traffic, 11x data reduction for transfers from the AWS environment to end users, and 80% data reduction with six times less bandwidth in SaaS testing, helping Schneider Electric lower bandwidth costs, improve agility, and avoid expensive upgrades.
