Teneo and Riverbed support user satisfaction and a reduction in costs with applications running over Patagonia’s hybrid global network

Patagonia, the outdoor clothing company, needed to guarantee application performance across its hybrid global network as it expanded internationally. With centralized ERP access in the U.S. and growing use of cloud-based Microsoft Office 365 at local sites, the company faced latency issues, bandwidth strain, and user experience problems for employees worldwide.

To address this, Patagonia worked with Teneo to deploy Riverbed SteelHead WAN Optimization and SteelHead for SaaS, first in the U.S. and then across European branches. The solution delivered significantly improved application performance, about 90% optimization for Office 365, better ERP and VDI responsiveness, and reduced costs, including hidden network costs.
