Paskewitz Asset Management (PAM), a private quantitative investment management firm, needed to improve network reliability, resilience, and real-time monitoring to protect its 24x7 trading and R&D operations. With a small on-site team, a DR site, and quants working remotely in China, PAM needed a way to proactively manage a heterogeneous network and avoid downtime that would stop trading entirely. Teneo implemented Castle Rock SNMPc to give PAM centralized monitoring, remote alerting, and better control over servers, switches, and routers. The solution eliminated chronic research-system failures that had previously cost the firm entire days of CPU time, improved redundancy through parallel machines and failover planning, and saved both time and money. PAM also turned network visibility into a selling feature during client due diligence, demonstrating from anywhere in the world that its infrastructure remained highly available.
