Aslan Organics: Charting the course for a successful farming career

Aslan Organics, a two-acre certified organic market garden in Chilliwack, British Columbia, wanted to turn a growing hobby into a well-run farming business. Owners Shane and Emma Rozeveld were managing 40 crops and needed a better way to organize production planning, field layouts, tasks, and records as they worked toward expanding markets, restaurant accounts, and an on-farm store. They used Tend farm management software to bring structure to their operations.

With Tend, Aslan Organics mapped fields, built crop plans, generated planting and harvest schedules, and created task lists for crew members. Tend also helped them streamline organic record keeping through mobile field notes and inputs tied to specific locations. The result was stronger organization, less disorder, and clear business growth: Aslan Organics doubled acreage and revenues in two seasons, and Shane said Tend was “a game changer” and “a thorough program” they’ll keep using.
