Tenable OT Security further enhances vulnerability information management of control systems to support stable power supply

Chubu Electric Power Grid (Chuden Power Grid), the transmission and distribution arm ensuring stable power in Japan’s Chubu region, faced growing cyber risk as control systems adopted general-purpose technologies. Asset and vulnerability management was largely manual and time-consuming across thousands of IP addresses, hindering timely risk assessment and recovery.

After a PoC they deployed Tenable OT Security—chosen for its Japanese-language support, agentless OT-friendly monitoring, and Tenable’s deep vulnerability intelligence—to automate asset discovery, visualize devices by IP, and establish SOC/CSIRT workflows. The deployment centralized vulnerability management, improved operational efficiency, sped risk response and recovery, and reduced control-system security risk.
