Sprocket Inc., a global company with employees and offices in nearly every country, faced the challenge of securing 330,000 distributed assets — including on‑prem servers, Azure/AWS cloud instances and transient employee laptops — while minimizing network load, improving credential management across siloed organizations, integrating with third‑party tools, and scaling for growing OT, IaaS and container environments.

Sprocket deployed Tenable.io with Nessus Agents on Windows, Linux and macOS for local scans and private‑cloud Nessus scanners per theater for remote scanning, using the Tenable.io API for third‑party integration. Agents were installed with OS‑specific scripts and grouped into 130 owner/OS groups, delivering consistent local scans across all assets, reduced network impact, improved credential handling and a scalable platform to support future growth.
