Nanyang Polytechnic Trains the Next Generation of Cybersecurity Professionals with Tenable Nessus

Nanyang Polytechnic (NYP) in Singapore trains students and working adults in applied sciences and IT but faces a sector-wide challenge: a global shortage of cybersecurity professionals while organizations rapidly deploy software that can contain unremediated vulnerabilities. To ensure learners are job-ready and can reduce time-to-productivity, NYP needed to teach industry-standard vulnerability management skills early in its programs.

NYP integrated Tenable Nessus into its CET and pre-employment training (PET) courses and plans to add it to the three-year cybersecurity diploma. Using Nessus in real-world scenarios, students learn to find, rank, remediate, and report vulnerabilities, giving graduates practical, enterprise-grade experience that helps them stand out to employers, shortens onboarding time, and increases course appeal.
