Initech is a large federated enterprise with 30+ sub-organizations, about 40,000 users, 60,000 devices and more than 150,000 active IPs that ran weekly network vulnerability scans across 75+ scanners. They needed more frequent assessments, remote visibility into off‑site user laptops, and a way to reduce the operational burden of managing credentials across a sprawling, heterogeneous environment.

To meet those goals Initech deployed over 50,000 Nessus Agents using a hybrid model: Tenable.io for dynamic user workstations (cloud scale, uptime and flexibility) and Nessus Manager on‑premises for servers and sensitive infrastructure, with all agent data fed into SecurityCenter for unified analytics and reporting. The result was frequent, continuous visibility of remote and on‑prem systems, streamlined credential management, and consolidated reporting across the enterprise.
