A Tenable Networks Case Study
Sanofi is a global pharmaceutical leader with more than 100,000 employees and extensive R&D and manufacturing operations worldwide. As its footprint and user base grew, so did its Active Directory (AD) attack surface: simple phishing could allow attackers to move laterally using native AD tools across dozens of domains and forests, putting critical R&D and production systems at risk.
Sanofi’s CISO team deployed Tenable Identity Exposure to address AD risk at the root, giving a single, agentless console to manage delegation, GPOs, authentication and other policies across 25+ domains in 10+ forests and 360,000 users in 170 countries. The fast, non‑disruptive rollout (completed in about six months) delivered real‑time monitoring, actionable threat scores and SIEM integration, enabling continuous protection, prevention of security regressions and a global security roadmap to harden AD defenses.
