How Demyst Uses Just-in-time (Jit) Access By Tenable Cloud Security to Business Advantage

Demyst is an external data platform that helps banks, insurers and fintechs accelerate data procurement, testing and deployment. Although it already maintained strong zero‑trust controls across a complex, multi‑region AWS environment, a major banking client required a vendor-controlled routing process plus client approval for any human access to its data, with strict time‑bound privileges and three approvers — a capability Demyst couldn’t easily provide with existing tools.

Demyst implemented Tenable Cloud Security’s Just‑in‑Time (JIT) access integrated with AWS KMS to automate a three‑step approval workflow, instantiate temporary secure workspaces, grant time‑limited decryption rights and capture audit trails. The out‑of‑the‑box deployment reduced permissions risk, enforced least privilege, enabled the bank engagement that unlocked new revenue, and is now being replicated for other regulated clients.
