The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) created the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) to provide enterprise-wide vulnerability management and configuration compliance across the highly distributed Department of Defense. DISA needed a scalable, accurate, flexible and easy-to-deploy security solution that delivered real-time visibility and risk-based assessments across all DoD networks to support decisive, compliance-driven decisions.

Following a six-month, multi-site pilot, DISA selected Tenable and partner DXC Technology, deploying SecurityCenter with Nessus Network Monitor and Nessus scanners. The combined active and passive approach delivered fast, accurate, cost-effective continuous monitoring that’s simple to roll out at scale, giving DISA improved situational awareness and the ability to make risk-based management decisions while reinforcing Tenable as a leading federal vulnerability management provider.
