Case Study: AppsFlyer reduces cloud access risk with Tenable Cloud Security

A Tenable Networks Case Study

Preview of the AppsFlyer Case Study

AppsFlyer exposes risks across tens of thousands of cloud resources with Tenable Networks

AppsFlyer, a company with one of the largest AWS deployments outside the US, faced a significant challenge in governing access entitlements and enforcing least-privilege access across its vast multi-cloud environment. Using native cloud service provider tools was complex and not scalable, so they turned to Tenable Networks and its Tenable Cloud Security product to gain deep visibility and control over permissions risks.

Tenable Cloud Security provided AppsFlyer with immediate visibility into excessive entitlements and publicly accessible resources, such as S3 buckets and databases. Using the platform's risk scoring, the AppsFlyer team was able to systematically harden their environment, remove unused identities and third-party applications, and right-size user roles. This solution from Tenable enabled them to establish an ongoing process for governing identities and integrating least-privilege policies directly into their CI/CD pipeline.
