TENA Studio partnered with Kornit Digital to address a challenge with their flagship Atlas Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printer. The technologically advanced machine was primarily operated by seasonal workers who lacked experience, creating a significant usability gap that hindered efficient operation, especially during high-capacity events like the Super Bowl.

The solution from TENA Studio involved a complete redesign of both the physical interaction and the user experience from the ground up. This included developing and testing two distinct UX concepts with functional prototypes and incorporating ergonomic industrial design, such as a one-hand strapping technique, to simplify operation. This human-centered approach by TENA Studio ensured the complex machine could be operated reliably and precisely by its intended users.
