Finding the Perfect Recipe for Connecting Employees and Leaders

RBC Investor & Treasury Services (RBC I&TS) needed a better way to connect employees and leaders across geographies, strengthen collaboration and culture, and improve engagement between employees and senior leaders. Ten Thousand Coffees (10KC) provided the platform and tools behind the RBC I&TS Café, including introductions and office hours, to help employees build relationships, support career development, and access the right people at scale.

With Ten Thousand Coffees, RBC I&TS launched Office Hours and “Walk N’ Talk” sessions, then adapted them into virtual formats during COVID-19 to keep employees connected across countries. The program delivered measurable impact, including 50+ office hours and 11,000+ connections made between members in Canada and the UK, with 86% rating their Office Hour as excellent and 51% uncovering a valuable opportunity for cross-team collaboration.
