Veev, a digital home company, faced the challenge of creating a fully integrated smart home ecosystem from a prototype, needing to unify diverse devices from various manufacturers into a single, secure, and user-friendly system. To build this production-grade, cloud-based solution, they partnered with the vendor Temy for its expertise in full-stack engineering, IoT protocols, and AWS.

Temy implemented a sophisticated solution featuring a local Java-based hub (VeevOS) that connects to devices via multiple protocols and syncs with a secure AWS cloud backend. The system is controlled through iOS apps, in-room touch panels, and Amazon Alexa voice commands. After over five years of collaboration and 52 sprints, Temy successfully delivered the Veev Digital Home system, which is now running in hundreds of homes and provides users with seamless, centralized control of all their smart home features.
