A Temporal Technologies Case Study
Maersk, the global shipping and logistics leader, needed a better way to support complex legacy and modern systems across payments, booking, and other logistics workflows. Before adopting Temporal Technologies’ Temporal platform, engineers spent most of their time on resiliency, data consistency, and orchestration work, which made it take an estimated 60 to 80 days to add new features.
With Temporal Technologies, Maersk replaced brittle orchestration with Temporal Workflows and Activities to power payment, booking, and control-plane use cases. The result was much more reliable and observable systems, shorter customer wait times, and a major productivity boost: Maersk says feature delivery now takes just 5 to 10 days, a 6–16x improvement over the prior process.
