A Tempo Case Study
Monarch Teaching Technologies, an Ohio-based small business that develops e-learning solutions for children with special needs, faced a challenge managing up to 20 simultaneous projects across a distributed team. Their vice president, John Haprian, needed a project management tool that could prioritize competing demands and handle complex resource allocation without forcing the company to abandon its established internal methodology. After previous tools failed, they turned to the vendor Tempo for a solution.
By implementing Tempo's online solution, Monarch was able to maintain its existing processes while gaining unique insights into resource management and project prioritization. The results were significant: Haprian reported a much deeper insight into the entire project process, which allowed him to address trouble spots more quickly and even undertake a major application rewrite while other projects continued. Tempo eliminated unforeseen problems, avoided expensive software costs, and provided the tools needed to effectively manage the team's time against changing demands.
