Case Study: Cytiva eliminates EPS and cuts carbon emissions with TemperPack

A TemperPack Case Study

Preview of the Cytiva Case Study

Cytiva reduces EPS waste by 60,000 boxes a year with TemperPack

Cytiva faced the challenge of eliminating expanded polystyrene (EPS) from its global supply chain. They needed a sustainable packaging solution that could match the thermal insulation of EPS to safely ship temperature-sensitive products while meeting their environmental goals. They partnered with vendor TemperPack to find a solution.

TemperPack implemented its ClimaCell thermal insulation material, a curbside-recyclable alternative to EPS. This solution allowed Cytiva to eliminate approximately 60,000 polystyrene boxes annually, reducing carbon emissions by 30-40% and achieving significant operational efficiencies due to ClimaCell’s flat-shipping format. The partnership with TemperPack successfully helped Cytiva meet its performance and sustainability targets.
