Large urban water authority establishes a secure connection to its critical remote sites

A large urban water authority faced the challenge of securely connecting its critical remote infrastructure sites. Their existing radio technology was unreliable, and the alternative of installing wired fiber connections was extremely costly, at nearly $200,000 per site. They turned to Tempered and its Airwall Solution to find a more reliable and cost-effective method for remote access.

Tempered implemented its Airwall Solution, which used physical Gateways at the remote sites, a cloud-based Conductor for orchestration, and Relays for secure routing. This provided a secure, zero-trust connection that transmitted critical data like pressure and flow levels. The solution was deployed quickly and at a fraction of the cost of fiber, allowing the water authority to easily expand the system across its freshwater and wastewater infrastructure.
