TemboSocial Helps WSPS Connect the “People Side” of the Organization

Workplace Safety & Prevention Services (WSPS), a $43‑million Ontario organization of 250 employees formed from a 2010 merger of three safety associations, needed to unite three distinct employee cultures and rebuild recognition that suffered during the consolidation. WSPS relied on SharePoint 2013 for internal communications and selected TemboSocial’s Recognition solution to create an easy-to-administer, peer-driven program that would reach both office and field staff.

TemboSocial worked with WSPS to launch a branded “Applause” experience (recognition posts called “Ovations”) embedded on the SharePoint intranet, using a seeded launch, teaser campaign and intuitive activity stream to drive adoption. The TemboSocial deployment delivered rapid, measurable results—over 375 Ovations in the first month and sustained engagement of more than 1,000 interactions per month—re-engaged previously inactive intranet users, generated dynamic user-created content, and helped employees link recognition to core business initiatives.
