Pfizer, the world’s leading biopharmaceutical company with about 100,000 employees, consolidated hundreds of intranet sites into a single SharePoint-based platform called PfizerWorld. To drive traffic and engagement for the new site and support its communications pillars — Connect, Listen and Educate — Pfizer sought a solution that would integrate with SharePoint and draw employees into editorial content; they selected TemboSocial’s Poll for this purpose.
TemboSocial implemented its Poll as a configurable SharePoint web part placed prominently on the PfizerWorld home page, delivering weekly “PfizerWorld Fast Polls” that range from quizzes to surveys. The tool proved highly effective: published weekly since 2009, it became a top driver of engagement, helping Pfizer gather feedback to shape its editorial calendar and contributing to a year with 60 million site hits and more than 5 million article views. TemboSocial’s Poll handled heavy traffic, matched the site’s look and feel, and reinforced Pfizer’s Connect, Listen and Educate strategy.
