A TemboSocial Case Study

How HP Engaged & Involved Employees

HP, a global technology company with nearly 4,000 employees in Canada, needed to deepen a sense of community and drive active use of its corporate intranet for news, culture and two-way communication. To make the intranet a place where employees would regularly engage, HP worked with TemboSocial and adopted its polling product, The Poll, to add lightweight interactivity without heavy IT involvement.

TemboSocial’s The Poll was deployed via a few lines of JavaScript and used features like multi-question branching and Poll‑In‑Email to segment interests, gather pre/post event input, set meeting times and integrate with HP’s eGram newsletter. The results were measurable: 14% of HP’s workforce participated weekly (rising to 23% with incentives), executives received actionable feedback, managers launched programs with greater confidence, and overall two-way engagement across the company increased significantly.
