Tilt, a consumer fintech company, faced challenges in freeing up developer time from routine codebase cleanup and customer service investigations, which required secure access to production data. They turned to Tembo, an AI engineering platform, to help automate these tasks and act as a trusted engineering teammate.

By implementing the self-hosted Tembo platform on Microsoft Azure, Tilt enabled AI agents to autonomously handle cleanup and investigations. The results were significant, with Tembo authoring 1,200 pull requests, 790 of which were merged, and the merge rate rising to 81%. This freed engineers to focus on feature development and allowed non-engineers to securely investigate production issues through Slack, significantly improving productivity.
