Worldpay creates a culture of recognition through mobile engagement

Worldpay, a leading internet payment services provider, needed a more intuitive, mobile-first way to improve employee communication, engagement and retention after its previous benefits platform proved limited and hard to use. With staff distributed across locations, the company sought a universal channel to inform, celebrate and educate employees while embedding personalised recognition and company values into daily culture.

LifeWorks delivered a native iOS/Android app and responsive web platform combining social, recognition and reward features, a real-time newsfeed, gamification, tailored discounts and hands-on onboarding. The impact was rapid: in three months the platform drove 1,792 recognitions (about 20/day), 186 posts and 178 photos, over £100k in discount spend, and noticeably stronger employee connections and alignment with company values, with further features planned to sustain momentum.
