TD Bank, one of the 10 largest U.S. banks with more than 26,000 U.S. employees and over 1,300 East Coast locations, sought to strengthen employee well‑being and engagement amid everyday stressors and critical incidents. HR wanted an approach that would address stress, absenteeism and turnover while supporting employees through life events such as Hurricane Sandy and workplace incidents.
Partnering with Ceridian LifeWorks, TD Bank rolled out an EAP offering online resources, educational webinars, and access to trained counselors — promoted in recruitment, new‑hire materials and annual open‑enrollment communications. LifeWorks’ rapid response (webinars and on‑site counselors after emergencies) and ongoing content for wellness programs helped boost engagement, improve productivity, reduce absenteeism and create a work environment where employees feel supported.
