WM Systems ships 20,000 smart streetlight devices with Telit

WM Systems, an IoT developer based in Hungary, worked with a major European grid operator to address the challenge of deploying smart streetlights. To meet this challenge, WM Systems partnered with vendor Telit and utilized their CE910-SL CDMA450 module.

The solution implemented by WM Systems featured Telit's compact and cost-effective CE910-SL modules, which were integrated into custom-designed CDMA450 routers and switch boxes. This approach leveraged the long-range and high-penetration advantages of the 450 MHz frequency band, significantly reducing the number of required base stations. The results were highly successful, with WM Systems shipping over 20,000 communication devices to the client, enabling remote control, automation, and substantial energy savings for the smart streetlight network.
