Vitalthings, a healthcare technology company, addresses the challenge of caring for a growing aging population by providing continuous patient monitoring. Their solution, the Guardian H10 monitor for home and group care settings, required reliable wireless connectivity to operate easily in varied home environments without depending on patient Wi-Fi. They partnered with Telit Cinterion for this capability.

The solution uses a Telit Cinterion cellular module from the xE910 family, along with eSIMs and Telit Cinterion's NExT connectivity platform. This provides a unified wireless connection, enabling easier installation and allowing patients without home broadband to use the monitor. The result helps patients safely age in place by extending hospital-grade contactless monitoring to the home, enabling proactive care and reducing the need for manual supervision or moving to assisted living facilities.
